Everyone at our practice recognises how vital your teeth are to you.It's because we understand this that we constantly strive to apply the very best standards in all that we do. We know that by being assessed by external bodies we can measure our standards and give you the very best in dental care. The whole practice team has worked hard to meet the criteria, this involved up-dating all our management plans, protocols and procedures and many audits to show that the highest standards are continually being maintained.

BDA Good Practice

We were the first Dental Practice in Lancashire and one of the first in the North West to hold all three awards, BDA Good Practice, Denplan Excel and Investors in People. Unfortunately the new Government decontamination guidelines HTM 01-05 and the CQC (Care Quality Commission) require information in much more detail and in a different format than BDA Good Practice asked for so for the time being we have not renewed with them. All three awards are standards of excellence that help us ensure we are the best that we can be.

Henry Schein, the largest dental company in the UK could see that my small practice was spending more on materials than some much larger Practices. They were impressed that Helen had negotiated a great deal whereby if we bought the majority of our materials from them they would give us a discount. They used us as part of their advertising campaign highlighting our strive to do the best dental treatment we can by not buying cheap materials. This led to Helen and I being the only people photographed in the 1000 page, 2009 catalogue which is sent to almost every dentist in the country!

Denplan in 2003 saw that we had so many patients choose to stay with us when we left the NHS that Steve Gates, the MD of Denplan paid us a visit!
